A Year In Review 2023 🗓️

Millionaire from Shitcoins?

Or Bear Market Survivor? Crypto In 2023: A Wild Ride.

Recap of the Year's Top Portfolio-Making or Portfolio-Breaking Headlines.

Buckle Up, It Gets Ugly.👇

JANUARY🗓️- One GTX

On the first day of January, crypto gave to me... One GTX.

If FTX wasn't close enough to home, we had another reminder that crypto boys don't learn.

Key takeaway: don't name a new exchange after an imploded one🤦‍♂️.

FEBRUARY🗓️ - Paradigm = Moonenomics

Love was in the air for NFT traders as we had the $BLUR airdrop. Since then, it seems the 1000 IQ play is👇 Paradigm = Moonenomics.

MARCH🗓️ - Brian Armstrong Takes on Congress

Legal battles in crypto became the standard weekly procedure. The biggest of them all (sorry SBF) was Brian Armstrong singlehandedly taking Congress to battle🇺🇸.

It's true what they say, bald people really have nothing to lose.

APRIL🗓️ - MiCA and European Regulation

Calling all EU crypto investors to PAY ATTENTION. MiCA was introduced in April, and the regulatory landscape in Europe was identified.

Read the full breakdown of the regulatory bill here👇

MAY🗓️ - Ledger's Key Recovery Controversy

Ledger is a product every crypto boi relies on... until they announced the infamous "Key Recovery." In our opinion, clear LARP from Ledger.

JUNE🗓️ - ETF Conversations Begin

ETF conversations began bubbling as we went into the warmer parts of the year.

Six months later & ETF discourse is hotter than ever, but was this the first signal of what's to come?

JULY🗓️- Iris Scanning for Tokens

Sam Altman pivoted and asked us to scan our iris for tokens. His OpenAI drama was yet to come, but was building Worldcoin a clear case of prevention instead of cure.

Regardless, scanning your iris later brought challenges which are yet to be fully answered.

AUGUST🗓️ - Base Dominates Layer-2 Landscape

L2s were always part of everyone's 2023 bull thesis, but Base established a new standard dominating the layer-2 landscape upon launch.

Coinbase is undeniable, and their product expansion goes hand-in-hand with their intentions in crypto.

SEPTEMBER🗓️ - Celestia Airdrop Farming Fades

Sucks to have faded Celestia airdrop farming considering $TIA is $11.

An airdrop in September that probably less than <5% diamond-handed.

OCTOBER🗓️ - Ripple's Victory Over SEC

Ripple put the middle finger up to the SEC with a small victory in the wider landscape of things🖕.

Gary Gensler took a big L in October, while the pump just started warming up.

NOVEMBER🗓️ - Crypto Loses a Veteran

Darker days to come as crypto lost a veteran. Ladies & Gentlemen... We lost CZ. Nothing much more to be said but CZ will be missed.

DECEMBER🗓️ - Dogs With Hats and Volume Surge

This month has everyone questioning: Are we back? Dogs with hats took over, and volumes returned to certain heights. Are we back??

And that wraps up a very long year in this industry. While things look on the up, always remember to avoid the rubbish side of this space & have fun while printing internet coins.

A big thank you from the RR team for all your support this year🙏❤️, plus the corny bigger better.
